Born and raised in the heart of South Central Louisiana, James Brauns grew up in the vibrant town of Lafayette, LA where he developed a deep appreciation for southern culture and a lifelong passion for connecting with people and exploring the great outdoors. His upbringing in Louisiana instilled in him a love for community, tradition, and the natural beauty that surrounds him.

James attended Louisiana State University, where he earned a bachelor's degree in Finance. During his college years, he discovered his passion for helping others while working part-time in the insurance industry. Upon graduation, James transitioned into a full-time role as a producer, quickly proving his dedication to meeting customer's needs. His drive and commitment paved the way for him to pursue his entrepreneurial spirit and open his own State Farm Agency.

When James isn’t busy serving his community through his work, you can find him enjoying the outdoors and embracing the southern lifestyle he loves so much. He’s an avid hunter and fisherman, a passionate golfer, and a proud supporter of LSU sports. James cherishes time spent with friends and family, especially when it involves sharing good food and great company.
